Lord of the inn(r)ings

"Action speaks more than words."

This philosophy has worked wonders for Sourav Ganguly who has made a tremendous comeback into the ODI team. From a roaring start in his first test series, this Bengal tiger has conquered the hearts of millions. His spectacular innings of 98 in the Pepsi cup, has knocked his critic's comments about his degrading form. His dismissal from first class cricket had evoked mixed responses.

The left handed batsmen chose to remain silent, taking in his stride the harsh words hurled at him by the media. Relying on his "never say die attitude" has indulged this Prince of kolkatta in assuring his fans of a definite comeback. Seeds of self confidence, determination and hope have certainly borne a fruit of regaining his magnificent form. His return has brought in a new ray of hope for our team, who now possess a radiant glow and undaunted usage of the bat and ball. It has lead to the strengthening of the top batting order. His rock solid innings and aggression has indeed been recognized once more.

South paw is here to stay and conquer the world (cup).Lets hope that the team enters the finals again this time, only to snatch the title of "world champions" from the kangaroos. A difficult task, but with Dada around, the word impossible says "I am possible”, in this case "it is possible”. Those, who were applauding in glee over his departure from the team, watch out for the roar of the royalty. This embarks the return of the king (Prince) who is definitely the Lord of the inn(r)ings.

Ok, can't say anything more
But with dravid n chappell experimenting like d chennai odi, who knows dravid may drop every1 n send d "India-A" team as per his rotation policy for World Cup Finals(if v manage to beat teams like kenya n bangladesh only)
Whirlwind said…
I absolutely agree.Dravid has failed in everything including his experimentation. His earlier policy of having seven batsmen hasnt worked. The probability of every one of them getting a chance is minimal. He should have concentrated on having 5 consistent bowlers who are definite in geting a chance to prove their worth.

With the world cup around the corner they better choose the best and set aside ego and petty issues.

As for greg chappel,well...more slappings i guess are needed to make his head rotate. With each team rotation one blow should be given to him.Guess that Cuttack episode wasnt enough.

Wat? India n World Cup ah??? Don't even talk abt it. V won't even reach d top 8.
None can stop d aussies. They r invincible. Go aussies go....

The invincibles will soon become the invisibles if they are preyed by the Bengal tiger.Lets hope and pray that aggressive act of Dada continues like the previous world cup.

Jus heard from one of my frnd tht….dravid is out of the field due to cramps and so is Sachin (donno y)

The captaincy batton is passed on to the ever green aggressive captain of India-the dada SAURAV GANGULY!!

Most of u must be happy….
Whirlwind said…
Of course. as happy as some of you were when Ganguly got thrown out of captaincy n from the team.

Anyways always knew Bengal tigers are far better than bleating goats or a crumbling wall.
Anonymous said…
Ofcourse I was not…it was jus the matter of giving him a brk…

Every1 accepted tht he shud be rested for a while and he was arrogant and adamant at tht time…

Ya crumbling wall…..y wudnt ppl say tht!!!
Whirlwind said…
Ganguly was anything but arrogant.Adamant, ruthless, ungrateful, hypocrite, petty are some adjectives that can be used on Greg Chappel instead.Of course the word arrogance leading the pack.

yes he needed a break.but i must say its a shabby way to give a captain who brought the team to the world cup finals.(never mind we didnt win).He should have been treated, certainly in a more DIGNIFIED way.Not like some old rag thrown away in a pile of garbage.Anyways its seen who has piled up dirt in their brains as chappel believes in the philosophy of washing dirty linen in public.

Yes ppl are saying crumbling wall.thats what brain dead dravid is.hes done no good for the team..the past 19 months show that.

True…very much accept….chappel doesn’t deserve being here….he shud be thrown out in a more crappish way!!!

Well…as far as I knw….ganguly was arrogant at tht time…..and its very true tht the way they dealt wth him…..was jus too bad….now they did want him bac to the team…

But dravid isn’t being dumb….jus imagine the influence of chapel on him……john wright gave a certain amt of freedom to ganguly…doesn’t seem so wth dravid…. Too much influential…tht he like the most obedient kid is jus nodding his head…..accept he lacks the aggression tht gangs has…..

But he is still gud…as a batsman…mabbe not as a captain!

And as far as I and whole of India(with the exception of Dravid fans) know,he wasnt being arrogant.

Anyays the law of karma is very true.Peple get back for what they do.its so true in the case of Chappel n the indian team.A captain cannot be a personification of noddy. He has to be assertive, thats why they are LEADERS.Such ppl fight for their right.Such ppl stand up to others to protect their team. And not justify others actions or nod to whatever others say just for the fear of bein in the good books of the other person.Cowards dont deserve to be skippers.its not about being a puppet, dancing to others tunes.

Diplomacy of Dravid well i basically consider diplomats hypocrites.Admiration goes to those who have the guts to stand up for what they believe in n speak out their mind.Which is precisely what dada did.

Anyways in this world its the reign of hypocricy and superficiality.cant help it.but whatever is it straightforwardness always rules.South paw has proved it.Good always supasses evil. That the truth.A truth which may be stranger than fiction.

And arrogance seems to be the fav word used here.lets see.

Even if he did exhibit a tinge of arrogance(a misunderstood gesture of his i must say),it mst have been more of high self confidence that would have come across as yes the A word.

He has every right to feel jubilant and confident.Afterall he is one of the successful skippers. And in the man made rat race of the world, one needs to maintain that level of assertiveness esp wih mice of half baked talents lurking around and trying to show their superiority. This principle is applicable in the modern day situations, staring from the corporate world to sadly even family and personal scenarios, where others due to insecurity of some sort try to outdo the other.Sad but true.

This argument wud never end….

Ppl have their own plus points n negative points!!! JJ

Dravid has been a gud batsman….while ganguly has been the best captain of India-be it aggression or results!!!

But both have their + n -….the situations have been different and cant be compared much!!
Whirlwind said…
Well both of them have been in the same positions. So its natural that ppl compare.

Anyways no 2 individuals are alike.
Apples cannot be compared with oranges. And its evident here as who define the role of an apple and that of an orange.
Whirlwind said…
However I wish this philosophy os not comparing 2 individuals works in ones personal life.If only the society realize this, the world will be in a much better place to live in.

Swe.Looks like you will make a very good advocate for Ganguly.;)

LOL.If only I were,I wouldnt have let Dada be thrown out of the team earlier.
