The Historic win at Gabba!

The series started out as a disaster with a 36 all out.  It left the fans in a disarray. The next match managed to bring smiles with Rahane taking over as captainc and the team displaying a renewed vigor on field. The third match was almost snatched by the opponents if not for grit, patience and persistence displayed by Vihari and Ashwin. This draw almost felt like a win, once again inducing the million dollar smiles on the faces of the fans. With some of the crucial players injured, India had to go with the substitues in the fourth. Nevertheless they managed to seal a phenomenal victory. The players not only hit boundaries but pushed their beliefs beyond their boundaries. The hunger in them to win was apparent and they weren't letting go without a fight. This series has led to a discovery of new talent and some vital lessons. Sports in general is a great teacher and some of the learnings can be incorporated into other aspects of life.

Received this forward that I'd like to save on my blog for future reference.

From 36 All out to winning the Series 2-1 against all Odds... Fractured bones, Torn hamstrings, Back pains and what not... This Team refused to give up. They kept fighting, each player fought like a Warrior!!!

*Learnings from this epic series* 📢

*1. Avoid early celebrations:* Aussies became Complacent after 1st Test match, Tim Paine even said after 3rd Match, Come to Gabba, what happened at Gabba, we all know.
*2. “Never take anything for granted”* - always the rule of the jungle. Be prepared
3.  *Never under estimate your opponents* - 11 players chosen from a 1.5 Bn people, must they be of some grit and talent. Played all the way from 36 to 329. Be Mindful!
4.  *Leadership is something you can embrace* - every session there was an Indian who stood for the country and the game.  Be a leader when the need arise!
5.  *Strategise is only good as your plan to execute and deliver* - when kept falling and injured after each game, we had a new champion in the making. Plan for the worst and don’t be arrogant and complacent. Be Agile!
6.  *Pressure situations create Champs* : Gill. Hanuma Vihari, Siraj, Sundar, Thakur we had plenty in this series.
7.  *Grab the opportunity as soon as it comes* : Natarajan, Gill, Sundar, Thakur and Siraj all grabbed their chances and performed their role to perfection.
8.  *It's not my job* : It was very easy for Ashwin ( in 3rd match ) and Sundar and Thakur( in 4th match ) to throw in towel get out and go back after several blows over his body but they stood tall and promising, carried their bat being bowler. They never said “It’s not my job" rather they played like a proper batsman and kept Indian flag flying high.
9.  *Believe in yourself* : Rishabh Pant played a flamboyant crucial  knocks and scored quick 97 and 89 not out in 3rd and 4th Test  which pushed Australia back and on the other hand we had Pujara who took really tired them with grit.

You might think it's not related to us but life everyday throws challenges to us and we keep cribbing on our problems. It's just a matter of patience, belief and right timing. Everything falls in place once we are mentally strong, dedicated and persistent.

*The common thing between Life and this Cricket match is word called “TEST"*
