Book Review : Deceived

Book Review
Title: Deceived
Author: Heena Rathore Pardeshi
Genre: Thriller
Its been a while since I read a thriller and this one was unputdownable.
‘Deceived’ starts off with an introduction which explains the difference between Psychopaths and Sociopaths, instantly hooking the reader.
A thirteen year old girl brutally murders her parents and disappears. Allison is still recovering from the murder of her mother and younger brother. A psychopath killer is on a revenge murder spree. Steve- an journalist and Allison's cousin brother is investigating the murder cases after 9 years. Allison continues to get nightmares and is being stalked by someone mysterious.
When she moves in with the love of her life, peculiar instances began to occur, making Allison wonder if its her imagination or was there something more to it.
Narrated from the point of view of different characters, Deceived takes us deep into the complexity of the human mind and also a mix of characters.
Right from perverts, rapists, murderers, intelligent minds and good samaritans, the author manages to sketch out each of these characters well. She also does a good job in creating palpable tension in several instances that keeps the readers hooked with bated breaths.
Deceived is one nail biting psychological thriller that sends a chill down your spine.
