Traveler's list

Travelling to a new place opens your mind out to a completely different world. Whether its within the Indian subcontinent or in foreign shores, one gets to meet interesting people from varied backgrounds and also learn a lot from the same. Some places offer an exciting adrenalin rush as well which makes it even more thrilling for adventure lovers.

As I just got back from a trip to Kashmir, I realized how much of India is left unexplored. There are several beautiful places to see within this subcontinent itself.

1. Leh: Though it may not be as beautiful as Kashmir, it is definitely worth making a trip here. Especially when it involves a stopver at Kargil which is bound to make every Indian feel patriotic.

2. Meghalaya: The northeastern part of India is yet to be explored by many. Due to its inaccessibility factor perhaps it has put off many people from even considering that as a tourist venture. However it is an upcoming destination highly recommended by a few who have managed to explore these insipid contours of our country.

3. Kaziranga National Park: One of the oldest National parks in our country and is famous for its magnificent Rhinos.

4. Places around the Himachal region: There are places like Nainital, Bhimtal, Anada Spa, Rishikesh and other places which are worth exploring.

5.Amarnath Yatra: Done the Vaishnodevi Yatra which isnt very easy. Heard that the Amarnath Yatra is even more difficult. Would love to visit the Ice Shiv Ling some day.

I agree with you. India is unexplored for me. South to North, East to West...there is so much to see. Never been to any of these places you mentioned.....
