The power within

"IF AN EGG IS BROKEN BY AN OUTSIDE FORCE, A LIFE ENDS. IF AN EGG BREAKS FROM WITHIN, A LIFE BEGINS. GREAT THINGS ALWAYS BEGIN FROM WITHIN."

There are some lines which you read, comprehend and move on due to its inability to make a lasting impact. There are others which have the power to attract your intellectual mode of stream and make you introspect in a deep manner making you almost forget your existence.

This was one such line that caught my attention instantly. Profound and thought provoking were the words that were attributed to this statement above. Being a Psychologist, I firmly believe the power of the inner strength that helps an individual combat the evil forces that prevail around them. Problems, issues and hurdles escape no mortal being. While some indulge in breakdowns others rely on some form of tenacity. Few put on a brave front while the core part of them is nothing less than a shattered four year old who's misplaced her toy. Shaky, uncertainty, apprehension are the forces that taunt them from within and soon give way to the surface portraying their real emotions. It’s sort of a mirror which is kept in the darkness in sincere hope that it does not reflect.

No one can hide their real feelings for long. Hence it’s important that to cleanse and sort out issues from within. Just like mighty trees get uprooted if their roots wither away, our entire persona is eroded if our inner self is given a step motherly treatment. This is where the aspect of attitude comes into play. Our outlook and perspective forms a great deal of how we handle tough situations and not get under the weather. A positive frame of mind is enough to destroy the evils that emerged from the Pandora's Box. Sorrow, hurt, misery, anger and anguish are ailments that need to be treated with a generous dose of optimism. That’s why an integral ingredient of a personality is that of the person's attitude without which it resembles a delicious looking chocolate cake with one perennial missing slice. And it doesn’t fail to make one constantly ponder over that emptiness irrespective of the tasty icing on its outer layer.

Should one adopt a positive approach only when an issue arises or before? Its sort of a chicken and egg situation but emphasis is done on this line where great things come from within always.
